Pioneering Sustainability with Rotary

Rotary's VRSPACS stove transformed St. Bernard Mwenge Primary School. This stove serves 1,000 students with efficient, nourishing meals.

Before the VRSPACS stove, the school used three monthly firewood trucks, harming the environment and increasing costs. With this eco-stove, their carbon footprint greatly reduced.

Now, they use 1.5 trucks monthly, conserving resources and easing financial burdens, prioritizing students' education and well-being.

The VRSPACS stove represents the school's commitment to sustainability and students' welfare. With Rotary, we value education and environmental stewardship.

Step One User Training in St Benard Mwenge Primary school:

We provided hands-on training for domestic stove beneficiaries and institutional staff in St benard mwenge primary school . We focused on efficient stove use, safety, and troubleshooting.

Unlocking Solar Stove Potential

Our interactive training covered:

1. Stove Operation: Efficiently lighting solar stoves for clean cooking.
2. Safety Priority: Preventing accidents with safe stove handling.
3. Optimal Usage: Maximizing stove efficiency with tips.
4. Troubleshooting: Equipping users with basic problem-solving skills.

Step Two Handover of Solar Stoves:

After User Training for both Domestic and Institutional beneficiaries, we proceed to hand over the stoves. Rotarians from various clubs collaborated for this endeavor, we personally visited schools and communities for a memorable handover.

Rotarians provided institutional Volcanic rocks and solar-powered stoves to schools, revolutionizing meal preparation. These stoves signify a sustainable future, saving schools up to 80% on daily wood fuel expenses and offering a smoke-free cooking environment.

Rotarians directly handed stoves to 30 Domestic beneficiaries, providing energy-saving, sustainable cooking solutions. It's not just about stoves; it's about empowering families to cook safely and efficiently while protecting the environment.

Step Three: Installation of Solar Stoves:

Our journey toward sustainable living leaps forward as we enter the domestic solar stove installation phase. We ensure every beneficiary enjoys the benefits of clean energy at home by setting up the solar system and positioning the stove optimally.

Schools are vital for our community's growth. Installing solar stoves not only promotes sustainability but also creates a healthier, more productive environment for students and staff. We collaborate closely with the school to place stoves where they best serve the institution's needs.

Installation involves a partnership between our team and beneficiaries. We ensure everyone comprehends stove functionality and safe operation. This partnership is a vital step in our journey toward greener, more sustainable communities.

As solar stoves integrate into homes and schools, we progress toward a cleaner, healthier future. Each installation reflects our commitment to community well-being and our dedication to reducing our community's carbon footprint.
