Energy From he sun is one of the Best econimical and cost free form of energy any one can ever think of. At Good shepherds Fold foundation its fully utilised to do many tasks that require Electricity.

Solar Installation at Staff Quarters

The staff quarters are the major places where most of the workers and employees of the foundation do reside, These include security guards, Cooks, Teachers to mention but a few.

Of late they faced a challange of lack of access to the Hydro electric power grid of the country and there by this aused alo of problems :

• Lack of electricity fo basic works like lighting, Ironing, Cooking to mention but a few.

• Use of un safe forms of power sourcs like kerosen lamps that could produce alot of smoke

• Un improved general livelihood of the employees and workers of the foundation.

Project Size

The Solar Project is 1500Watts, and it supplies Alternating Current to 13 staff quarter Houses. This system is enough to provide security and in door lighting, Power up TVs and Radios.

Project Outcomes

• Capacity of 13 houses in the Foundation staff Quarters all powered with sustainable electricity.

• Elimiantion and abaondnment of dagerous power and fuel sources like the kerosene lamps hence reduction of the posibilities of fire breakouts and smoke related respiratory and optical disease.

• Saving on the Money spent on fuel for the generator used topower staff quarters when need be.
