Bukwekwe Primary School
Nestled amidst the serene landscape of Lumino Subcounty in Busia District, Bukwekwe Primary School is a shining example of the power of community and sustainable practices. Rotary's benevolence has bestowed upon the school a valuable gift - the institutional double burner stove known as the VRSPACS. This generous donation marks a significant milestone in the school's journey towards efficient meal preparation and responsible resource management.
Nurturing Sustainability through Rotary's Generosity
Rotary's VRSPACS stove transformed Bukwekwe Primary School, serving meals efficiently to a thousand students.

Before the VRSPACS stove, the school used three monthly firewood trucks, depleting resources and straining finances. With this eco-stove, their carbon footprint significantly reduced.

Today, Bukwekwe Primary uses only 1.5 monthly firewood trucks, preserving the environment and easing financial burdens, prioritizing student education and well-being.

Step Two Handover of Solar Stoves:
We believe in transformation through action. After providing User Training to Domestic and Institutional beneficiaries, we proceed to hand over both stove types.
Rotarians from various clubs collaborated to gift stoves to the beneficiaries. Our work's impact extends beyond stove installation; it touches the hearts and homes of those we serve. That's why we personally visited each school and community beneficiary to make the handover special.
Rotarians directly handed stoves to 30 Domestic beneficiaries, providing energy-saving, sustainable cooking solutions. It's about empowering families to cook safely and efficiently while protecting the environment.
Step Three: Installation of Solar Stoves:
